Michael and Jennifer had a romantic wine country wedding at the Vintner’s Inn in Santa Rosa. I met Michael when J had his knee surgery last year. Michael was his physical therapist. We connect then and when I met Jennifer I knew we were a good fit for the wedding. I always makes my job so easy when two people love each other as much as they do. Perfect weather, family and friends, what a great day!
Serena and Anthony came in with Trey for some “sleepy baby” pictures. We tried and tried to get Trey to go to sleep. For a baby that is only 7 days old, I couldn’t believe how alert and focused he was. We finally got him to sleep for about a minute and I grabbed this shot. Two days later we tried again and decided to just take pictures with him and Daddy.
Two days and two different looks, I love the soft sleepy one and love those LIPS!!! My fav though, is the one below it, “Daddy and Me” . I just love the love between Dad and his son. Which is your fav?

I was so excited to be Jessica & Justin’s photographer. I’ve known the Brock family for years and to be a part of Jessica’s wedding was really special for me. It was raining all week before the wedding and on that Saturday the sun came out and it was a beautiful green St Patricks Day wedding. One sweet thing, at the dinner, Jessica’s dad toasted the bride and groom with a magnum of wine that they bought the week that Jessica was born to save for her wedding day. Sunday was amazing. We had scheduled the Starlet fashion shoot for 4pm. When I arrived at 3, the models were already arriving for hair and makeup. In case you don’t know, Starlet is a store in Pleasant Hill and Santa Rosa that specializes in Prom dresses, wedding gowns and special event dresses. Every year, Starlet picks girls from the high schools in the area to be her Starlet Models. It’s quite an honor as she requires that the girls have good grades, are active in their schools and most importantly they ” are nice to everyone “. A tall order. These girls come to the shoot as high schoolers and after hair and makeup and professional photography they become super models for the day. We really have fun and the girls get to know each other and become friends.
We always have at least one “Studley Starlet”, a cute guy to show off the Tuxedos and to be a prop for the girls. This time, the “Studley Starlet” was the real boy friend of one of the Starlet models. They were so cute, I just had to get a shot of them together. I also loved that some of the mom’s came and hung out with us. All in all it was really fun.
I have been the Starlet photographer for years and over the years have made so many friends of the girls. They really are special and the memories are so fun! I’m always saying, “just one more shot, great now turn this way, great” and Allie, from Starlet is always saying ” We need to move on here, lets get going! ”
Anyway, here are some candid shots from Sunday’s shoot. The dresses and models are amazing , wait until you see! The girls will be featured in ads in the Contra Costa Times and other papers.
